In order to overcome the limitations of conventional cooling water treatment, Tiaano developed a new concept in this field, a removal of scale (free calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate) by electrolytic process, by using Platinum group precious metal oxide activated titanium electrolysers.
Application
In the Cooling towers or the cooling system, the common (traditional) method of treatment for these problems entailed the use of chemicals and unguaranteed results. For the small quantity of water recirculation in the application of humidification, Tiaano introduce Dip type Electrolytic Scale remover. It produce Oxidants and prevents the corrosion, Bio-fouling, Scaling, Micro-organism growth and spread of airborne bacteria. Passing DC Current from positive element to the negative element, it creates high ph in the vicinity of the negative. High PH Causes Scale to be deposited in the Mesh type Cathode.
Water requirements:
• The feed water should not be purified or softened one. If it is softened, the hardness and electrical conductivity will be too low, it leads the process of electrolysis will be slow, resulting,poor effect in separation of scale. However, if the rust condition in the system is very serious, our ElSr can be used for removing rust also.
• Quality of feed Water should have the electrical conductivity more than 500µs/cm and the total hardness should be more than 300mg/L. Then the effect of treatment will be obvious.
Operation
Tiaano’s Portable Electrolytic Scale remover is an independent equipment, getting immersed inside the water tank separately out of the cooling water circuit. Water from the cooling tower pond is continuously circulated through the ‘Tiaano-ElSr’.Process of scale removal is getting carried out, when the ‘Tiaano-ElSr’ is connected to power and water flow through it. ‘Tiaano-ElSr’ could be operated manually and maintained manually.
